Corticotrophin-releasing factor coordinates the endocrine, autonomic, behavioral and immune responses to worry and also acts as a neurotransmitter or neuromodulator within the amygdala, dorsal raphe nucleus, hippocampus and locus cerulean, to integrate brain multi-system responses to worry.
